So, yes it is true, there are flowers out there and we did have some crazy April showers. Springtime in Tulsa - it is NUTS. Our weather changes by 30 degrees over night. But I will take this over 100 and humid (like it will be come July) any day.
Where have I been? Well, I have been a pretty faithful blogger, you'd be proud, however, my chosen method of blogging has been a bit more private and in the form of a journal. I want to do both, but for awhile, I really needed to just get out a lot of stuff that just wasn't meant to be shared with the world, sorry!!!
Since I have REALLY written, Anna has turned 4, Bowman has turned 2. So, cake, presents and lots of attitude changes have been a part of our lives...I kid you not on the attitude thing.
I have a clingy, separation anxiety ridden daughter and a boy that well, acts like he is a 2 yr old boy. He THROWS everything, whether in a fit or to show you his mad ball skills! He can give you a high five or give you knuckles, whichever you prefer.
Oh that silly head.
At the end of a long day though, you might get lucky and ask if he wants to rock, and if you are mommmy, he might say yes, and quietly lay in your arms, with his "kilky" aka silky and fall asleep.
He willingly gave up the paci and potty training is the one remaining chore of babyhood we have to conquer with him.
Anna just finished her 3C class of preshool, she is officialy off to Pre-K. We have decided to keep her at South Tulsa Baptist for PreK in hopes that one more year of private, God centered teaching will enrich her little soul! She loves it there. We have play mates this year, three that we have hung out with outside of class. It is fun, weird, to have friends over, not the moms, just the kids, but fun. She has even had two NONfamily sleep overs. I preface this with they were with two of my best friends....not just anybody. But her firs was in March, with Emma Dean and the second last month with Camille Coffin. I haven't seen any pictures but imagine there was just lots of squealing, princess dress up and books. Princess stuff consumes us!
Jake is alive too! Working hard as ever to provide for us - Love him! He recently had a position change to Asset Engineer - whatever that is. It wasn't attached to any money, so I kind of lost interest. Oh just kidding. It does show that they like him more than ever as this new position has more responsibility etc. He works hard and long days, but is compensated fairly with time off.
Unfortunately, we have been bogged down with illness (not just mental) but physical and on Monday I will have surgery to remove my tonsils. I guess it isn't very fun on adults. But having strep 5 times since the end of Jan. wasn't fun either. So, I'll take my chances that this will fix it.
The kids are currently on their second round of antibiotics for a resilient bug that attacked them in the form of ear infections and strep. They didn't go away after the first 10day treatment.
We will make it though - we have such an amazing support system, you know who you are! Thanks for sticking it out with us.
I promise to write again.
Much Love from T Town
